Operating System Network Settings

The network settings of your computer should be setup for Composer to communicate with the networked printers.

Windows

The ‘network type’ on your Windows computer should not be set to ‘Public’.

Windows 7

1. Click ‘Start’ → ‘Control Panel’ → ‘Network and Internet’ → ‘Network and Sharing Centre’
2. Click the currently active network under ‘View your active networks’
3. Choose either ‘Work network’ or ‘Home network’

Windows 10 Wireless

1. Click the small wireless icon on the system tray
2. Click ‘Properties’
3. Under ‘Network Profile’, select ‘Private’

Windows 10 Wired

1. Click the small network icon on the system tray
2. Choose the wired network of your printer (as you may have multiple wired connections)
3. Click ‘Properties’
4. Under ‘Network Profile’, select ‘Private’

Firewall

Composer requires access for the following ports:

• 80
• 42512
