The speakers in this webinar are all members of the Asiga Dental Experts Facebook page which now has over 9000 members.
Founded by Matthias Zimmerer in February 2017, the Asiga Dental Experts Facebook provides an open platform for peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, end user help & assistance, a resource for understanding Asiga 3D printers from a day-today production perspective, Asiga & 3rd party material options and what you can do with Asiga 3D printers and what you can’t and probably shouldn’t.

Speakers
Matthias Zimmerer
Growing up in his parents’ dental laboratory, the path to dental technology was very obvious for Matthias Zimmerer. The apprenticeship was followed by the successful completion of parts II-IV of the master craftsman’s diploma in the dental technician trade. Afterwards he worked in various jobs in commercial and practice laboratories.
Since 2013 he has been laboratory manager in the practice laboratory of dentist Dr. Heidi Edl in Erbendorf, whose focus is on digital dentistry. Both the integration of the digital workflow to the maximum extent and the further development of the digital production possibilities are part of his everyday life there, in order to optimally tailor aesthetic dentures to the needs of the patients.
He takes great pleasure in integrating new technologies into existing, well-established processes and in constantly optimising them. He sees many possibilities for change and further development in digital dental technology, which he puts to the test every day.
Matthias also had the ingenious idea of starting the Asiga Dental Experts page on Facebook!!
Ashley Byrnes
Ashley owns and runs Byrnes Dental Lab in the UK, a leading high end lab that works with crown and bridge, implants and dentures. The lab is highly innovative and uses digital technology at all levels to simplify the processes of making high quality medical devices. Ashley has lectured all over the world on digital dentistry including India, the USA, Canada and Europe.
Markus Menczynski
Markus received his dental technician training in Germany in 2001. He moved to Iceland in 2003 and started working for Tannsmidjan Krona which is where he still works today. He is now the Head of CAD/CAM being responsible for planning, designing, milling and 3D printing.
Markus is a specialist in digital dental technology. He was the first exocad user in Iceland (dating back to 2014) and still to this day is widely recognised and regarded as the leading digital trainer for exocad, desktop scanners, IOS Scanners, Roland DGSHAPE mills and Asiga 3D printers. Since 2019 he has been a member on the board of the Icelandic dental technician association.
Tanya Little
I am a Denturist in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I have been practicing the art of smiles since 2002 and have learned so much over the years. The introduction of digital denture design and 3D printing has been a game changer for my companies. I am happy to be a part of the Asiga team and look forward to sharing my denture knowledge with you
Minh Tran
Minh Tran is a 2nd generation dental technician from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. With 15 years of experience, primarily as a CAD/CAM dental technician, Minh was one of the first users of 3shape Dental System in Canada and brings a wealth of knowledge. He is a lecturer, trainer, and has been a speaker, consultant, and technical advisor for multiple companies including 3shape, Asiga, core3dcentres North America, Fullcontour, Pritidenta, DAL, and Abutment Direct. Minh has served on the program advisory committee of St. Clair College in his hometown of Windsor to develop a new Dental Laboratory Technology program. Minh is a member of the American Prosthodontic Society and currently serves on the communications committee. He is also the founder and creative director of DentalTechTips, an online independent publication and blog focusing on unbiased product reviews, offering tips, tricks, tutorials, and the latest and greatest in the dental laboratory industry.
